Meeting 1
Hello and welcome to our first meeting. Before we start discussing about the whats and hows of Media and ICT for Teaching, we need to set up the basic grounds for the class.

First of all, everybody enrolled in the class will have to join the yahoogroups.
1. go to www.groups.yahoo.com
2. type "mediaict4teaching" in the search box (Find a Yahoo! group)
3. click on the search result.
4. click on join the group on the top right of the page, you will need to enter your yahoo ID and password*
4. join the group by typing the verification code in the box provided
5. Be sure to choose "individual emails" in the message delivery setting
6. Click on the menu "database" on the left side of the page
7. choose the table "Contact List"
8. Add your own information in the table by clicking "add record" on top of the table.
*If you don't have a yahoo ID, please contact the class administrator (ani.yani@atmajaya.ac.id)

Next, you will also need to join our Online Classroom, in which you will need to post some assignments according to the conferencing topics given.
1. go to www.nicenet.org
2. click JOIN A CLASS on the right side of the page, above the login box.
enter the class key provided in our class syllabus*
3. complete and finish the registration
4. log in using the username and password you've created previously during the registration
*the class syllabus can be downloaded from the yahoogroups' Files.

Finally, you will need to post a self introduction in this blog. this is to familiarize ourselves in using the blog as well as getting to know the other members of the class.
1. click "Links to this Post" from the first post of this blog (look at media Archive: Jan 02).
2. click on the "Post a Comment" at the end of the self-introduction posts from everybody.
3. Type your self introduction on the right side of the page, in the box written "Leave Your Introduction"
4. Identify yourself by typing your name in 'Name/URL"

Optional:
Activate your personal email in Atma Jaya!
1. go to ww.atmajaya.ac.id
2. click on the "email"icon on the left side bar of the home page.
3. click on "Klik disini untuk email service mahasiswa"
4. enter your username [firstname.lastname@mhs.atmajaya.ac.id --- e.g. ani.yani@mhs.atmajaya.ac.id] and the password [your PIN number provided in the student card]
